Emma Boyd, MSW RSW
Emma Boyd is a registered social worker and has worked in the field of counselling for over 15 years. She holds a Masters of Social work, is specialized in the field of trauma, and has extensive experience with issues related to anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationships, and work related conflict. She provides counselling to individuals, couples and families and is experienced in working with children, teenagers and adults. She currently works with the Canadian Armed Forces as a clinical social worker. She was employed as a clinical counsellor at the Thunder Bay Counselling Centre for 6 years and provided counselling in Violence Against Women (VAW), Psychosocial, and Employee Assistance Programs, as well as ran groups on separation and divorce, healthy relationships and women and addictions. She is a trained and certified in the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
Her working philosophy is to provide client-centred care and work in a collaborative, non-judgemental and compassionate manner with her clients.
