I have been practising as a Registered Massage Therapist for over 15 years in Thunder Bay.  After graduating from Lakehead University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree, I decided to continue my studies at Sutherland-Chan to become an RMT.  I proudly ran my own practice for 14 years, and while those years were very fulfilling, I am extremely excited to join the highly competent, multidisciplinary team at Northwoods Health Centre.  I truly love being an RMT and witnessing first hand the impacts of soft tissue therapy.

I believe that our bodies are incredible and capable of incredible things if we listen to and honour them.  The most rewarding aspect of my “job” is allowing my hands to “listen” to my patients’ bodies, their muscles, and assists them to be at their optimal well-being.

I enjoy all aspects of massage and love the challenge of treating various conditions.  I thoroughly enjoy treating both acute and chronic neck and shoulder injuries.  I have extensive practise working with pregnant women, having provided massage therapy and labour support during dozens of deliveries. I also love working with children, their bodies intuition and responsiveness always amazes me. I can’t think of a better form of prevention than introducing children to body work at a young age.

Outside of being an RMT my passion is my family.  I have an amazing husband and two busy, fun loving, precious boys. We enjoy being outdoors and splashing around in water, whether it’s a pool, lake or an ocean.  I also love running outside on back country roads and pushing myself in the weight room.  I am very interested in health and nutrition and I keep myself current by constantly reading and learning.
